During her stay in Italy, she also received large sums of money from the Swedish de facto regent, Gustaf Adolf Reuterholm for whom she acted as a secret agent with the task of providing evidence and conduct inquiries against the exiled Gustaf Mauritz Armfelt.
Armfelt was also appointed as the Over-Governor of Stockholm, but the new regent was staunchly anti-Gustavian and sent Armfelt to serve as the Swedish ambassador to Naples in order to get rid of him.
In 1792, Ulrica Arfvidsson was also consulted in connection to the conspiracy of Gustaf Mauritz Armfelt, who conspired to depose the guardian government of King Gustav IV Adolf of Sweden by an alliance with Russia.
