Names of Seoul

Seoul was called Hanseong (漢城) or Hanyang(漢陽) during the Joseon Dynasty, but the city's main railway station opened with the name "Gyeongseong Station" (京城驛) in 1900, which name it retained until 1905.

Outer old Seoul

In 1914, most of outer old Seoul, excepting small neighbourhoods of Changsin and Sungin, some eastern part of Mapo and the west of Yongsan, was annexed into Goyang county by the Japanese colonial government as a political colonial scheme to minimise colonial Seoul or then Gyeongseong-bu (경성부).

Technodelic

For "Seoul Music", the kanji "京城" are used, referring to Gyeongseong (경성; known as Keijou in Japan), the name of Seoul when Korea was under Japanese rule.
