Håkon Kornstad

From the autumn of 2011 he has been a student at Operahøgskolen (KHiO), and debuted as a tenor singer in Den Norske Opera in February 2012 as Il Podesta in a student production of the Mozart opera La finta giardiniera.

He was involved with the free improvisation bands Tri-Dim and No Spaghetti Edition, and started the band Atomic in 2000.

Kornstad was educated in the Jazz Program at Trondheim Musikkonservatorium.

Laurent Garnier

Garnier has collaborated with System 7, the Norwegian saxophnist Håkon Kornstad, and played several live shows with Bugge Wesseltoft (those recordings appeared on Public Outburst and Retrospective).


Paal Nilssen-Love

Relocating to Oslo in 1996, he took part in the forming of bands like Håkon Kornstad Trio, The Quintet and Frode Gjerstad Trio, as well as self-initiated projects and collaborations with Swedish musicians such as pianist Sten Sandell and saxophonist Mats Gustafsson.
