Hüseyin Avni Zaimler (1887–1930), Ottoman military officer and Turkish politician
His father is Hüseyin Avni who was the commander of legendary 57th Regiment in Gallipoli Campaign in 1915 during World War I.

The Turkish Ambassador in Berlin, Hüseyin Avni Karslıoğlu, inaugurated in December 2012 at the Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp a memorial stone with bronze letters (third of its kind after the Polish and Dutch similars) to the memory of eight Turkish citizens killed during the Holocaust, one of whom is a Turkish Armenian with the name Garabed Taşçıyan.
