3 unusual facts about HAECO

Haeco-CSG

In 1979 the Warner distributed label Sire Records issued a promotional single of "Pop Muzik" by M which contains both short and long versions in CSG processed stereo.

Atlantic Records took out a full page advertisement in the April 6, 1968 issue of Billboard Magazine to promote its adoption of the technique, calling it "CSG Stereo." Many A&M Records LP releases during the period including popular titles by Sérgio Mendes and Herb Alpert were released with this audio process starting in September 1968.

Khmer National Air Force

By 1975, Cambodian Air Force losses totalled 100 aircraft, mostly due to combat attrition, training accidents, and desertions, as well for other causes – between December 1971 and January 1972 four Alouette II and one Alouette III light helicopters were sent abroad for maintenance and general overhaul at the HAECO in Hong Kong, but there is no record that these airframes were ever returned to Cambodia.
