Other musical versions include the song “The Ugly Duckling” composed by Frank Loesser and sung by Danny Kaye for the 1952 Charles Vidor musical film Hans Christian Andersen, and Honk!, a musical based on the tale which was produced in Britain and won an Olivier Award.
Fray has also done extensive theatre work including parts in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Whistle Down the Wind and in 2004 the musical Honk!, based on The Ugly Duckling.
Maloney is best known as Honk from Far Out Space Nuts, as Lumpy from Star Wars Holiday Special, and as Darla Hood from the animated TV series version of The Little Rascals.
In the 1980s, she was the singer for the punk rock band Screamin' Sirens, and later, The Ringling Sisters and Honk If Yer Horny.
