Gesher's logo is Habonim Dror's semel (emblem) which comprises a wheat sheaf in a Star of David, symbolising the roots of the organisation in Labour Zionism and in building the Kibbutz movement.
He attended Habonim Grammar School in town and then boarded the local Ort high school (1984).
Having been active in Habonim youth movement (1959–1963), Farber attended their summer camp and became an instructor at the Washington D.C. branch.
