Originally, Samhyeon designated three chordophones, Geomungo, Gayageum, and Hyangbipa and Nyukgak designated Buk, Janggu, Haegeum, and Piri at the Unified Shilla period from 654 to 780.
She learned Haegeum and Yanggeum at the Joseon Music and Dance Institute and also learned all the Korean dance like Seungmu, Hakmu, Taepyeongmu, Salpulyi, Barachum.
