John Hajnal

John Hajnal, FBA (b. 26 November 1924 in Darmstadt, then People's State of Hesse, Weimar Germany – d. 30 November 2008 in London), born John Hajnal-Kónyi, was a Hungarian-British academic in the fields of mathematics and economics (statistics).

Markham Moor

Due to its unusual hyperbolic paraboloid shell roof, constructed in 1960-61 to designs by architect Hugh Segar (Sam) Scorer and structural engineer Dr Hajnal-Kónyi, there was a preservation campaign in 2004 to get the building listed to prevent it from being demolished as part of the Markham Moor junction improvement plans published by the Highways Agency.

Port of Rijeka

The railway facilities were designed by Jozsef Bainville, while the port itself was designed by Hilarion Pascal, who had previously designed the Port of Marseille, and Antal Hajnal.
