One was powered by a (37 kW (50 hp) Buchet engine and the other by a 25 kW (35 hp) Hanriot engine.
The production was located in WWS Samolot factory in Poznań, which built 80 examples between 1925 and 1928, designated Hanriot H-19.
Around 3,200 Salmson 2s were built in France, 2,200 by Salmson and the remainder by the Latécoère, Hanriot, and Desfontaines, companies.
