Grove House, Harrogate

The orphanage opened during Easter 1927, with an opening march by donor members taking three hours to travel from Harrogate railway station, accompanied by four brass bands.

London Underground D78 Stock

In July 2011, Harrogate Chamber of Commerce proposed to use the stock on the Harrogate Line from York to Leeds via Harrogate to increase capacity.


Leeds-Northallerton Railway

The section between Leeds and Harrogate is still extant, though it now follows a former branch line to York instead of continuing through Ripon to Northallerton.

Spofforth, North Yorkshire

The railway came to Spofforth in 1847 with the building of the Harrogate to Church Fenton Line with Spofforth being the only intermediate station between Wetherby York Road station and Harrogate station.
