Harvard Step Test

In 1983, Sgt. Slaughter challenged Backlund to break his own fictitious Harvard step test record.

When Backlund was attempting this feat, Sgt. Slaughter attacked Backlund's manager, Arnold Skaaland.

In the 1980s, WWF professional wrestler Bob Backlund performed the Harvard step test to demonstrate his exceptional conditioning.

Work Capacity Test

The pack test replaced as of the late 1990s an earlier physical fitness test called the step test, which measured physical fitness based on beginning and ending heart rate after a short workout on a set of stairs.
