The libretto (in three acts) is by Auber's regular collaborator, Eugène Scribe and is based on a short story by Prosper Mérimée, La Partie de trictrac (1830).
Bueno soon moved back to Cuba and began producing, arranging, and composing music for many young Cuban musicians including Haydée for Haydée Milanés, La Isla Milagrosa for William Vivanco, and Breathe for Yusa.
During her stay in America Revalles appeared in two Broadway productions, Miss 1917, a musical revue that had a fair run at the Century Theatre before the theatre fell into bankruptcy, and the Shubert Brothers’ 1919 hit musical extravaganza Monte Cristo, Jr., playing the multiple roles of Yvonne, Haydee and Diamonda, over its near year long run at the Winter Garden Theatre.
Her first solo album, Haydée, came out in 2005 and was produced and written by Descemer Bueno between Havana and New-York.
