As soon as his son Aramaneak was born, Hayk rose up and led his people northward into the land of Ararad.
According to legends, the settlement was founded by Gegham, the grandson of the legendary Hayk and named Geghamabak.

Hayk Demoyan is the Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute in Yerevan, Armenia, a post he has held since 2006.
Some time later, the Scout movement revived with the cooperation of "Raffi" union of Tehran and the youth organization "Hayk's Generation".
