Xavier’s School, Hazaribagh is a Jesuit school in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, India.
DVC’s second dam was across the Konar River, a tributary of the Damodar, in Hazaribagh district, and the third was across the Barakar at Maithon in Dhanbad district of Bihar, now Jharkhand.
The western portion of Hazaribagh plateau constitutes a broad watershed between the Damodar drainage on the south and the Lilajan and Mohana rivers on the north.
When Mahatma Gandhi launched the Quit India Movement in August, 1942, Yogendra Shukla scaled the wall of Hazaribagh Central Jail along with Jayaprakash Narayan, Suraj Narayan Singh, Gulab Chand Gupta, Ramnandan Mishra and Shaligram Singh with a view to starting an underground movement for freedom.
He belonged to Hazaribagh and is survived by his sons and grandchildren who continue to dwell in the areas surrounding Hazaribagh - Tilaiya, Giridih, Patna and Delhi.
