Albert Ferdinand Adolf Karl Friedrich von Bonin (November 11, 1803, Heeren, Altmark; April 16, 1872, Berlin) was a Corps commander of the Prussian Army at the Battle of Trautenau in 1866, and a colleague of Karl Friedrich von Steinmetz.
In March 1876 a new contract for guano sales was agreed with the Peruvian Guano Company, formed by the London merchant bank Raphael & Sons, and the Peruvians Carlos Gonzales Candamo and Arturo Heeren.
At the company's height, they operated six outlets at Holland Village, Suntec City, Wheelock Place, Bugis Junction and the Heeren Shops (2 outlets).
Also a prolific songwriter, Heeren wrote the 1991 Highlander II film theme ‘Trust’, released on WEA, performed by Heeren Stevens which included powerhouse rock vocalist Jan Parker (formerly Stevens), Gary Wallis (Pink Floyd) on drums, Nigel Ross-Scott (Re-flex) on bass and Adrian Lee (Mike + The Mechanics) on keyboards and acting as producer.
