Acharya Hemachandra, Indian mathematician, philosopher and historian (b. 1089)
Recently he composed his first Hindi album titled Lamhe (lyrics written by Pravallika Apuzzle) and playback singers Hemachandra, Naga Sahithi and Saurav Ghosh were part of the album.
Starting in 1121, Hemachandra was involved in the construction of the Jain temple at Taranga.
A formal History of the precursor to this tirth was written by Jain monk and eminent scholar Hemachandra Suri in the reign of Solanki king Siddharaj Jayasinh of Anhilwara (Patan).
