Charles Jennens

After his death, Jennens' second cousin Heneage Finch, 3rd Earl of Aylesford inherited his music library and much of it is now preserved in the Henry Watson Music Library at Manchester Central Library.

Daniel Finch, 2nd Earl of Nottingham

Daniel Finch was the son of Heneage Finch (later the first earl of Nottingham and Lord Chancellor of England) and Elizabeth Harvey, daughter of Daniel Harvey.

Heneage Finch, 6th Earl of Aylesford

Born in Packington, Worcestershire, Aylesford was the son of Heneage Finch, 5th Earl of Aylesford and his wife Lady Augusta Sophia, fourth daughter of George Greville, 2nd Earl of Warwick.

Pooley Hall

Following the departure of the Cockayne Family, Pooley Hall fell into the hands of Charles Jennens of nearby Gopsall Hall and was subsequently inherited by Jennens' god-son The Hon. Charles Finch MP, son of the 3rd Earl of Aylesford.

Treatise of Love

The copy used for the edition published by the Early English Text Society is from the Pierpont Morgan Library—it was previously owned by the Earl of Aylesford and Lord Amherst of Hackney.
