On July 4, a mob attacked the Franciscan mission in Hengyang (southern Hunan), murdering one of the friars, Cesidio Giacomantonio, and burning the mission to the ground.
It departs from the Beijing–Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong High-Speed Railway at Hengyang East Railway Station, it then travels west through the major cities of Yongzhou, Guilin and arriving at Liuzhou
It also connects with the Hengyang-Liuzhou Intercity Railway, allowing for diverse connections with distant destinations, such as Wuhan, Shanghai and Beijing.
