Baron Astor of Hever, of Hever Castle in the County of Kent, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom.
The lecture was introduced by Lord Astor of Hever John Astor, 3rd Baron Astor of Hever, the United Kingdom government's Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Ministry of Defense) and the Commandant Royal College of Defence Studies Vice Admiral Charles Style.
The George Inn is also located in Hever Court Road: it was a favourite establishment of Gravesend residents in the 19th century, it being within walking distance from the town; not too different from today, although there is also a Best Western hotel (the Manor); and the Gravesend South Premier Inn, both serving traffic on the A2 road.
JT as he is known wanted to do his own thing and after numerous unsuccessful auditions of musicians who could not keep up with his erratic guitar and vocal style he was introduced to bassist Ken Bussiere by WMUH college radio DJ Neil Hever.
