George Wenige

The signs denoting this stretch of the road disappeared in the 1980s, and today it is known only as Highbury Avenue.

Highbury Avenue

For a time the expressway portion of the road was unofficially named "George Wenige Expressway" after a former mayor of London, George Wenige.

John Paul II Catholic Secondary School

It is located at 1300 Oxford Street East, at the northeast corner of Oxford and Highbury Avenue, next to Fanshawe College.

London East

The boundaries of London East were Adelaide Street to the west, Oxford Street to the north, Highbury Avenue to the east and the South branch of the Thames River to the south.

London North Centre

Wonderland Road, Oxford Street, Wharncliffe Road, and south branch of the Thames River form its western boundary with the district of London West, Highbury Avenue and the south branch of the Thames its eastern and southern boundaries with London—Fanshawe, and the north city limit its boundary with Perth—Middlesex riding to the north.
