During the next 40 years, the tram system was heavily expanded, reaching outside the city borders by 1907, and Hisingen in 1940.
On April 14, 1927 at about 10 p.m., the first series production model, the ÖV 4, left the newly established factory on Hisingen in Göteborg.
Çelik was born and raised in the suburb Biskopsgården (Bishop's Palace), Hisingen, an island which forms part of the Gothenburg Municipality.
