Activities of the association include an annual program in cooperation with the Hispanic National Bar Association; a scholarship program for law students funded by an annual golf tournament; the "CABA Smoker," a networking fundraiser honoring Cuba's cigar-making tradition; and the pro bono project in conjunction with the Dade County Bar.
Previous Past National Presidents have included Peter M. Reyes Jr., Benny Agosto Jr., Diane Sen of New York, New York, Jimmie V. Reyna of Washington, D.C., Roman Hernandez, Mari Carmen Aponte of Washington, D.C., and Ramona Emilia Romero of Delaware and Pennsylvania.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Puerto Rican Bar Association (“PRBA”) and chaired the Federal Affairs Committee of the PRBA and Hispanic National Bar Association.
