In Frankfurt-am-Main on 9 February 1792 Augustus Christian Frederick married Fredericka (b. Usingen, 30 August 1777 - d. Hochheim, 28 August 1821), daughter of Frederick Augustus, Prince of Nassau-Usingen and later (1806) Duke of Nassau.
Bischofsheim borders in the north on the town of Hochheim (Main-Taunus-Kreis), in the east on the town of Rüsselsheim, and in the south and west on the municipality of Ginsheim-Gustavsburg.
He joined the retreat from Russia, and later distinguished himself at the battles of Lutzen, Bautzen, Dennewitz, Hanau, and Hochheim in the War of the Sixth Coalition as the Allies defeated Napoleon.
He took part in the campaign of 1792 and was one of the stormers at Hochheim (1793).
