Fultenbach Abbey (Kloster Fultenbach) was a house of the Benedictine Order located at Holzheim in Bavaria in Germany.
After that it flows again to north, past the hamlet Hirbishofen (a part of Pfaffenhofen an der Roth), Holzheim and Steinheim (part of the city of Neu-Ulm).
On January 29, 1945, he was serving as a first sergeant in Company C, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division at Holzheim Belgium when he encountered a group of more than 80 German soldiers, most of whom had previously been captured by American forces but, with the help of a German patrol, had managed to overwhelm their guards.
The neighboring village of Werdha was the seat of the nobility and Rhina belonged to the canton of Holzheim.
On the morning of 5 September 1937, a serious railway accident occurred in Holzheim station: a special train running from Rommerskirchen with 800 pilgrims on pilgrimage to Kevelaer was derailed.
His famous uncle was the founder and rector of the Gymnasium Illustre in Lauingen, Bavaria (Magnus Agricola's future school) and later became councilor and State minister of the reigning Dukes of Zweibrücken and Pfalz-Neuburg, while his grandfather, also named Magnus Agricola, was a judge and administrator of Holzheim.
