Satchel was the subject of a number of nude paintings rendered by Howard Chandler Christy, who is famous for the Christy Girl.
A recurrent model for the renowned painter, Howard Chandler Christy and an avid golfer, she received letters of commendation from many leaders and well-known people including US Presidents Herbert Hoover and Dwight Eisenhower, Helen Keller and Cardinal Francis Spellman.
Some of his work, newly cleaned, is on display at the The Leopard at des Artistes restaurant, the successor to the legendary New York City restaurant Café des Artistes.
