On September 16, 2006, Anne Bayefsky at the Hudson Institute, published a nearly identical proposal to establish an organization called the United Democratic Nations in The Jerusalem Post.
He died of cancer on July 11, 2004, in Washington, D.C., where he had been a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute.
In the early 1960s he worked at the Hudson Institute think tank with military strategist and futurist Herman Kahn.
