In Hong Kong, many different communities in the society associate with and work together to hold some activities for the Human Rights Day every year since the United Nations adopted The Universal Declarion of Human Rights and set the date of 10 December as the International Human Rights Day in 1948.
Celebrations took place in Phnom Penh and around Cambodia, including a march by 5000 people, and a further 1000 people releasing balloons, organised by NGOs.
On 10 December 2006, (International Human Rights Day) The Blood was reformed by the Cardinal and some of his friends to release the song, "Kill The Pimps", on the Eyeline Productions record label.

The following year, 1979, she was deported and then blacklisted from Taiwan, by James Soong, then head of the Government Information Office, for her involvement in the Kaohsiung Incident, on Human Rights Day, December 10, 1979.
