The fifth season scored another cornerstone for the competition with Miriam Tukan, a Christian Arab-Israeli contestant from I'billin, an Arab town in North Israel taking part as the first ever Arab contestant.
She was born on 5 January 1846 (the eve of Epiphany) in the village of I'billin, the region of Southern Syria in the Ottoman Empire, now in Israel, to Giries (George) Baouardy and his wife, Mariam Chahine, both of Damascene ancestry.

In 2007, Milk Dee recorded a verse for a remix of "I Get Money" by 50 Cent, thanking all the music artists that sampled "Top Billin'," which earned him royalties.
