IFBB Professional League

First Mr. Olympia was held in 1965 and, in 1975, Arnold Schwarzenegger was named chairman of the first Professional Committee.

In 1980, Joe Weider created the Mr. Olympia and the Grand Prix series of competitions were organized throughout the USA and eventually, Europe and Australia/New Zealand.

With its background in Mr. Olympia introduced in 1965 as the first IFBB professional competition, the series took its current name in 2005 when the IFBB Professional Division officially changed its name.
