Other national MTM Associations were founded and, at a meeting in Paris in 1957, it was decided to form an International MTM Directorate (IMD) to co-ordinate the work of National Associations.
Past presidents include Jørgen Randers, co-author of the Club of Rome Report Limits to Growth; Peter Lorange, former president of IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland; Leif Frode Onarheim, a former member of the Norwegian Parliament and current CEO of leading Norwegian fish farming company Marine Harvest.

Early on June 21, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) declared the area a depression, 430 km (270 mi) east-southeast of Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Jean-Pierre Lehmann is Professor of International Political Economy at IMD and the Founding Director of The Evian Group at IMD.
He has held appointments at the MIT Sloan School of Management, IMD and the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
He has also spent time on the faculties of Harvard and Boston University and taught at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM-C), INSEAD and IMD.
