Ian Fraser, Baron Fraser of Lonsdale

Fraser was the son of William Percy Fraser, a businessman of South Africa, who played a role in the development of Johannesburg.

Ian Fraser, Baron Fraser of Tullybelton

He took the title Baron Fraser of Tullybelton, of Bankfoot in the County of Perthshire.

Ian Fraser was born in Glasgow on 3 February 1911, the only child of Alexander Reid Fraser and his wife Margaret Russell MacFarlane.

He died on 17 February 1989 in a car accident on the M90 motorway between Perth and Edinburgh during a snow storm.
