He is a member of two contemporary traditional music groups: The Gloaming (with Martin Hayes, Iarla Ó Lionáird, Dennis Cahill and Thomas Bartlett) and This Is How We Fly (with Petter Berndalen, Nic Gareiss and Seán Mac Erlaine).

He performs regularly with West Kerry accordion player Brendan Begley, and has collaborated many times with sean-nós singer Iarla Ó Lionáird.
Subsequent works for the ensemble have included Derailed, For Herbert Brun and most recently Grá Agus Bás (premiered in February 2007), the latter featuring the Irish vocalist Iarla Ó Lionáird and incorporating music from the sean nós tradition.
The song was written and arranged by Moley and Eoin Ó Súilleabháin and mixed by Kieran Lynch (U2, Iarla Ó Lionáird, Elvis Costello) and was produced by Bill Whelan (Riverdance, The Waterboys, Van Morrison).
