3 unusual facts about India A cricket team

Nick Compton

Compton made his England debut opening the batting with captain Alastair Cook in their first tour match against India A, but made a third ball duck in England's only innings.

Shaftab Khalid

Khalid was selected for the 2003-04 ECB National Academy intake, and travelled to India, where he was called up to play in three List A games for England A, including one "unofficial ODI" against India A at Chennai; he was not a success, however, taking 1-60 from an expensive ten-over spell.

Tim Rees

He made a second List A appearance the following season against India A at Stanley Park, Blackpool.

Vijay Zol

In 2013, he was named in the India “A” squad for the long-format matches against the touring New Zealand “A” team.
