Remaining producers include INEOS in Germany, Caldic in the Netherlands, and Hexion in Italy.
The company undertakes consultancy for a wide range of organisations, including British Airways, INEOS, BASF, Braskem and NatureWorks.
INEOS, which is a third party company operating on the BP Salt End site also produces vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) which is used in paints, adhesives, floor coverings and clothing.
