In 2002 the Vitra Design Museum organized Ingo Maurer - Light - Reaching for the Moon, a travelling exhibition with several shows in Europe and in Japan.

In 2006 he created lighting objects and installations for the interior of the Atomium the Brussels.
Her first high-profile exhibition for MoMA, "Mutant Materials in Contemporary Design" (1995), was followed by "Thresholds: Contemporary Design from the Netherlands" (1996), "Achille Castiglioni: Design!" (1997–98), "Projects 66: Campana/Ingo Maurer" (1999), "Open Ends," and "Matter" (September 2000-February 2001).

Lindfors first achieved public and critical attention with his lamp “Scaragoo”, first unveiled at the Milan Furniture Fair in 1988, and then manufactured by the company Ingo Maurer in Munich.
