The band was formed in 1980 by drummer Paul "Hammy" Halmshaw and guitarist Simon Mooney, both students at Thornhill High School, and the line-up was completed by Simon "Semi" Bridgewater (vocals) and Nicky Djorjevic (bass Guitar).
He was later charged with being one of the central instigators and organizers of the assassination of Korean Empress Myeongseong, along with Miura Gorō.
Though these were never realised, Berlier was heavily involved with the Paris Metro from its opening in 1900 and indeed was one of the key instigators of the Société du chemin de fer électrique souterrain Nord-Sud de Paris which went on to build two privately funded lines that were later absorbed by the Compagnie du chemin de fer métropolitain de Paris, and are still in use today as (parts of) Paris Métro Line 12 and Paris Métro Line 13.
Sir George Dibbs, a three-time Premier of New South Wales was one of the instigators of a public meeting held in July 1879 at Milsons Point to consider the prospects of establishing a rowing club on Sydney harbour's north side.
The label was founded by Paul "Hammy" Halmshaw (of the bands Instigators and Civilised Society) in Dewsbury, England in 1987, who was also a one-time drummer of Sore Throat.
While attending university in Canada, Douglas garnered fame as being one of the instigators of the Sir George Williams Computer Riot of 1969 (aka Concordia Computer Riot).
