He attended High School at St. Paul’s Boarding School in Concord, New Hampshire, but left to attend Interlochen Arts Academy, Michigan, in his sophomore year.
A graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan, Miller earned a BA in American Studies from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.
After attending Interlochen Arts Academy, he graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from the Curtis Institute of Music, where he studied with Frank Kaderabek; he continued studies at The Juilliard School earning a Master of Music degree as a student of Mark Gould.
He grew up in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan and attended Interlochen Arts Academy, an independent high school dedicated to the arts in Interlochen, Michigan.
He attended the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, studied jazz at the University of Miami, and earned a masters degree as a composition major at the Eastman School of Music.
