Lauretta later married William R. Golden, a Hollywood executive, and became a nationally known exhibitor and breeder of Irish Setters.
He produced a single, "Shannon", a song written about the death of Beach Boy Carl Wilson's Irish Setter of the same name.
Wright was also a dog breeder and kennel owner who became known for breeding the Wright's Aurora Husky from the Irish Setter, the St. Lawrence Siberian Husky, and village dogs.
