Isa Khan called Pashtun people (Pathans) from his native town, which is located on what is now the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.
According to the 17th-century historian, Iskandar Beg Munshi, 'Isa Khan was imprisoned together with another Georgian, Simon I of Kartli, at Alamut, and was liberated with him by Shah Ismail.
On 14 December 1971, a squad of Al Badr militia abducted him from his Isa Khan residence in Dhaka.
