In March 2008, Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius appointed Pelton to lead the Kansas Energy and Environmental Policy Advisory Group.

By the end of 2012 Pelton was also managing director of Aviation Alliance, a partnership of ten individuals and companies that intends to sell remanufacturered turboprop-powered Cessna 421s under the name Aviation Alliance Excalibur.

Located next door to Jack Amiel's "Turf Restaurant" on Times Square, Amiel became famous as the owner of the "underdog" horse Count Turf who won the 1951 Kentucky Derby.
He also wrote and produced a dramatic musical pageant Columbus which, with a cast of more than 1000 was staged at the Philadelphia Academy of Music for the Knights of Columbus.

Among the films he acted in or directed were The Colleen Bawn (1911), From the Manger to the Cross (1912), The Shaughraun (1912), The Last of the Mafia (1915), A Fool's Paradise (1916), Audrey (1916), Pajamas (1927), Love and Learn (1928), and Broadway Howdy (1929).
According to court records, it was Grynberg who provided the introductions and data for BG, BP, Statoil, ARCO, Transworld Oil and others to enter the region in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Grynberg was also instrumental in helping discover the Kashagan Field in Kazakhstan in the 1990s, one of the largest oil field discoveries in the last 30 years.
