In 1971 he went to the Free University in Amsterdam for graduate studies under professors of philosophy Henk Van Riessen and Jacob Klapwijk, the successor to D. H. Th. Vollenhoven, one of the originators of Reformational philosophy.
On the 50th anniversary of the Association Jacob Klapwijk summarized some of the central themes of reformational philosophy and looked forward to its continuing contributions.
