The highest point of the mountain was reached two years later by A. W. Moore and Horace Walker with guide Jakob Anderegg on 28 June 1865.
The ridge as a whole (as well as the western summit) was first traversed three years later by Leslie Stephen, Edward Buxton, Jakob Anderegg and Franz Biener.
The first ascent was made on 22 August 1864 via the north ridge by Leslie Stephen and Florence Crauford Grove with guides Jakob Anderegg and Melchior Anderegg (AD).
