David Robert Coker (20 November 1870 – 28 November 1938) was an agricultural reformer and a son of Major James Lide Coker, founder of Coker College and Sonoco, Inc.

Hartsville, South Carolina has enjoyed lasting benefits from his decision to build his own railroad spur (at his own expense) when other town merchants wouldn't agree to help fund construction.
