James Madison Porter (1793-1862), Pennsylvania State Court Judge 1839-1840 1850-1853, U.S. Secretary of War 1843-1844, member of the Pennsylvania Legislature 1849.

James Madison Porter

Porter was president of two railroad companies for some time, the Delaware, Lehigh, Schuylkill and Susquehanna Railroad Company from 1847 to 1856 as well as the Belvidere Delaware Railroad.
