Gertz and her husband are members of the investment group led by Mark Attanasio that purchased the MLB franchise Milwaukee Brewers.

Gertz and her husband Antony Ressler (b. July 16, 1959) have three sons: Oliver Jordan Ressler (b. May 6, 1992), Nicholas Simon Ressler (b. February 17, 1995), and Theo Ressler (b. 1998).

Comedian Jeff Garlin stated on Pete Holmes' podcast that Gertz is one of his childhood friends.

Marilyn Gambrell

Gambrell is also the author of a series of books entitled Cherish the Child Within, a curriculum used by educators, professionals, and social workers, and has recently completed a series of coloring books entitled My Feelings Are Real. She was played by Jami Gertz in the Lifetime movie Fighting the Odds: The Marilyn Gambrell Story.
