In 1996 her projects included: You Don't Miss the Water, a music-theater piece, in collaboration with noted poet Cornelius Eady, produced by the Music Theatre Group; and the premiere of Women In The Dunes, a dance piece created by Blondel Cummings for the Japan Society and Mu Lan-Pi.
She was active in Anglo-Japanese relations, visiting the UK in 1962 (in reciprocation for the first post-war visit by a member of the UK Royal family, Princess Alexandra of Kent, the previous year), and again in 1967, for the 75th anniversary of the Japan Society.

He served as chairman of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) from 1987 to 1993, chairman of the Japan Federation of Construction Contractors, president of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers and president of the Japan Federation of Engineering Societies among others.
In 2004, the Institute launched its Research and Education Center of Nanovision Science as part of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science's 21st Century Center of Excellence (COE) Program, and is playing a central role in the development of the new nanotechnology-based imaging science.
His bright, large work has been exhibited at prestigious institutions internationally, including the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, the Guggenheim Museum SoHo, New York, the Japan Society, New York;,The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, Leo Castelli Gallery, New York, Galerie Oko, Berlin, The Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Seoul, among others.
