At 22:00 GMT each evening a beam of light will be projected from the sculpture extending 1 km into the sky for 30 minutes to coincide with the BBC News at Ten.

Another Plensa piece is Blake in Gateshead, in North East England, a laser beam that on special occasions shines high into the night sky over Gateshead's Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art.
This 64m infinity edge pool and lounge bar Purobeach cantilevered over the sea was designed by Richard Hywel Evans and features a 3m-high Jaume Plensa sculpture entitled ‘8 Possibilities’.

The project also comprises a website centred on The Big Art Mob - designed to create the first comprehensive map of public art across the UK using photographs from people's mobile phones - and significant public art works such as Jaume Plensa's Dream (sculpture) in St Helens, Merseyside.
Works include Dennis Oppenheim’s “Engagement Rings” (USA), Jaume Plensa's “We” (Spain), Magdalena Abakanowicz’s “Walking Figures” (Poland) from the City of San Diego, Michel Goulet’s “Echoes” (Canada) Sorel Etrog’s “King and Queen” (Canada), John Clement’s “Jasper” (USA) and Bernar Venet’s “217.5 Arcs x 13” (France).
Artists from 21 countries participated with fifty-eight sculptures from various artists like Anthony Caro, Jean Tinguely, Anthony Gormley, Marcel Pinas, Salvador Dalí, Ryas Komu, Lu Shengzhong, Eko Prawoto, Thomas Houseago, Jaume Plensa, Atelier van Lieshout, Subodh Gupta, Yayoi Kusama, Jean Dubuffet, Rodin, Dennis Oppenheim, Ugo Rondinone, Joost Conijn etc.
Jaume Plensa is best known in the Mid-West for his Crown Fountain in Chicago's Millennium Park.
