Most recently, she accepted a guest role in the film Santosh Subramaniam, which is a remake of the Telugu language film, Bommarillu which stars Genelia and Jayam Ravi.
Later that year, she starred in another Tamil film, Daas alongside Jayam Ravi.

Three years after his last directorial Peranmai (2009), Jananathan announced that his next directorial would feature Jiiva and Jayam Ravi, who both starred in Jananathan's earlier films, playing lead roles.
