Boulter appeared as the male lead - Freddie Flowerdew - in the musical production of "Ask Dad" in the Jeeves and Wooster episode, "Introduction on Broadway."

Since 2004, he has been Managing Director of Carnival Films, the respected British studio which has produced popular television series such as Poirot, Traffik, Jeeves and Wooster, Hotel Babylon and Whitechapel.
More characteristically, he was cast in Jack Rosenthal's one-man show Bar Mitzvah Boy (BBC, 1976); played one of Arthur Daley's crooked cronies in Minder (1982), and has had roles in Bergerac (1987); Howards' Way (1985); You Rang, M'Lord? (1990) and Jeeves and Wooster (1991).
He had many television and film roles, including that of Henry VII in the first episode of The Six Wives of Henry VIII (1970); Sir Watkyn Bassett in the television version of Jeeves and Wooster (1990 to 1993); and Merlin and Mogdred in the children's adventure game programme Knightmare (1987–1990).
